Access Tubs – Direct Distributor of walk-in bathtubs for Costco US and Canada stores.
Issues of bathing safety are common amongst elderly and disabled consumers. According to fall-prevention research, over 90% of all accidents happen during bathing due to slippery floors. Walk-In Bathtubs became the ultimate solution for consumers that are concerned with their bathing safety and accessibility. Besides accident prevention features such as side tub entrance, non-slippery floors, wide door openings and more, walk-in tubsalso offer luxury add-ons such as hydro therapy, air massage, chromo and aromatherapy.
So you have decided to spoil yourself with this luxurious, jetted walk-in tub but not sure what which model to choose? There are quite a few things that need to be taken into consideration before purchasing a walk-in tub. Throughout the last decade, vendors have been flooding the US market with imported walk-in bathtubs and other senior and handicapped bathing products. Unfortunately, a lot of these imports do not adhere to North American plumbing and safety standards. Thus, installing and servicing such product can be a painful process. Access Walk-In Bathtubs are made in United States and comply with all current plumbing guidelines, proving that our products are built with safety and comfort in mind. All our models come with a detailed installation manual to ease the process of placing and connecting your walk-in bathtub.
Another question consumers need to ask themselves before making a purchase is how they are going to place and connect their new walk-in bathtubs. Many vendors do not offer tubs that fit the standard 60-inch bathtub opening. Thus, you can expect to have an empty space that will need to be covered after installation. Access Tubs offers extension kits that come with every model that does not fully cover the standard opening. An extension kit consists of three panels that can cover the extra space left after installation.
Now that you have learned about quality and installation process let’s look at the price range. By conducting a simple price comparison we can see how an average walk-in bathtub can cost $4000-5000USD purchase depending on features you are looking to obtain. It’s becoming more common that the spread in price between a basic soaker and hydro or air walk-in bathtubs is over $2000. With Access Tubs, the price difference that our customers can expect will not exceed $1000. Dual-Feature models that combine hydro and air therapy are also available for as little as $3500-$4200USD.
I would like to visit your factory. Is that possible? There are so many tubs available. I would like to see how they are made.
Thanks,
Rick
Hi Rick,
Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, due to insurance liabilities we are not permitted to open our facility to the public. Please call one of our knowledgeable representatives at (877) 249-2388, they can explain how the tubs are designed and manufactured, and are happy to help.
I need a small portable walk in soaker tub, to be placed in the kitchen. Do you have such a model, and what is the price. My 91 year old mom just broke her hip, and can no longer navigate stairs in the house. To save money, I am okay with just getting the shell, and purchase submersible drain pump if necessary. Are there places I can find resale. Sorry to sound cheap, but the hospital and rehab is costing a lot. Thank you.
I am glad that someone has found the time to expound on the importance of tubs for the elderly. My wife’s grandmother slipped, broke her hip and died in the hospital. Safety is vitally important and I am excited about your subject!
